Beverley J. Hanna - Reproduction Giclee "Scottie"

Originally done as a commissioned piece from a very faded photograph, this little guy had been a Canadian and U.S. Champion in the mid 1970's. Working from a number of photos of him and other Scottish Terriers in reference books, it was possible to build up a good likeness.

Less than a foot in height, the Scottish Terrier was originally bred to penetrate underground passages in the pursuit of small mammals. Nowadays it is more often found as a companion and excellent guard dog, bold but not aggressive, with a reserved and genteel temperament.
