Lady in the Tower

This painting was an experiment. I
wanted to see if I could get a feeling of carved stone by
painting in black and white on a marble-printed mat board
background. This particular piece won an Honourable
Mention in a juried art show in 1998. One of my older
pieces, it is the closest I've ever come to a self-portrait. The
gown was designed for a theatre production, "The Lady's
Not For Burning", by Christopher Fry, in which I played
the part of Jennett.
