At Go Home Lake in the Muskoka area of Ontario, Canada, several creeks and rivers flow into the lake.  One little creek meanders through a dark gulley and tumbles down a small waterfall, which at noon is
spotlit with sunlight. This phenomenon only lasts for a minute or two before the sun shifts and throws the little falls into shadow again.

I had the great good fortune to be there when this lighting effect took
place, and managed to grab the shot just before it disappeared. This little gulley is truly magical, with moss-covered rocks and secret falls. It’s a privilege to live in an area where such magic is commonplace.
