As you may have guessed, I delight in photographing visual anomalies.  This is a waterlogged...er...log, lying in a stream.  Other logs are above and below the surface of the water, but the reflections make them look as though they are floating in the air, or emerging from out of the foliage.  The graphic diagonals give this piece a dynamism that counters its stillness, creating a compelling abstract design.
