These guys have the most amazing range of sounds.  At mating time in the spring, when a pond full of them start sounding off, the racket is deafening!  Bullfrogs are an "indicator" species, as they are among the first to suffer when the environment becomes unhealthy.  A strong and healthy wetland will have a lot of frogs.
