Another version of the mirror concept.  I am trying to convey the idea that the person we are in the safety and solitude of our own head, is not the person other people see.  In our imagination, we tend to re-write our history and circumstances to show ourselves as more romantic, more in control and generally more competent and mature than we are in real life.  A kind of Walter Mitty existence, if you will.

Those who live their dreams are those who truly live their own lives.
