Georgian Reflections
Medium: Transparent Watercolour

It's hard to believe the colours you see in the rocks
of Georgian Bay. The pink of the stone is set off by the blue of the sky
reflected in the pools of water left by rain and high water. Lichens add
their own colour, especially after a rain when they can be all the colours of
the rainbow.
The trees on the Bay all lean towards the east, buffeted into twisted, tortured
shapes by the prevailing west wind. It's a bleak, often inhospitable landscape,
with its own beauty.
